GOING, GOING … • Local producer Andy Meyer is behind “Sold!,” a new History Channel reality series that is set to air tonight at 8 p.m..
The series zooms in on the three-ring circus surrounding the buying and selling of old items — some antique, some one-of-a-kind, all eclectic and unusual.
The show features an energetic auctioneer, Rick Bryant, and two overactive crew members, John Wright and Jerry Brown, from the Lake of the Ozarks area. Meyer says the key to the show is the fun focus on the fast-talking auctioneer and his aides, and the interviews with buyers and sellers.
“The auction-going audience is a hoot,” Meyer said in an email, adding: “Auctioneer Rick Bryant is amazing — he’s entertaining and flamboyant but also straightforward in the style of go-getter Midwesterners. Bryant’s crew is larger than life.”

Meyer is with Aunt Max Entertainment locally. He is the show’s field producer and filmed the series in Missouri, largely at Bryant’s auction house in Linn Creek, Mo., between Osage Beach and Camdenton.
Meyer says he took the lead on the series when Evident Entertainment executive producers, Jann Carl and Bonnie Brennan of Los Angeles and Julie Harman of New York, partnered with the Aunt Max team to produce a full season of “Sold!” episodes.
